GuestFoyer

For independent hotels, B&Bs and inns

The in-room directory, without the binder.

Put the Wi-Fi, check-out time, breakfast hours, parking and your best local tips on one mobile page. Guests scan a QR card in the room and read it in their own browser. When something changes, you edit it once and every room has the new version.

Invite-only for now. We set up a few properties at a time.

01 — Who it fits

For hotels that want a guest directory and no installation.

GuestFoyer suits an independent hotel, inn, B&B, guesthouse or motel that wants to put the room binder on guests' phones. It doesn't connect to your property management system, door locks or payments, so there's nothing to set up beyond writing the guide. One guide covers the whole property, and the same QR card goes in every room.

02 — Where guests find it

In the room, at the desk and before they arrive.

In the room.

Print the QR card from your browser and put a copy in each room, next to the phone or on the desk.

At the front desk.

Keep a card at reception for guests who ask for the Wi-Fi.

Before arrival.

Add the link to your confirmation or pre-arrival email.

Joining the Wi-Fi.

The card carries a scan-to-join Wi-Fi code, so nobody has to type the password.

03 — What goes in it

Everything the room binder held, kept up to date.

Call it the room directory, the guest compendium or the binder by the phone. In GuestFoyer it holds:

  • Wi-Fi with one-tap copy and a scan-to-join code
  • Check-in and check-out times, plus the address with an Open in Maps link
  • Sections for breakfast, the pool or gym, parking, laundry, quiet hours and hotel policies, each with text and a photo
  • Emergency information
  • Your local recommendations in nine categories, each with directions, a phone number and a website
  • Draft privately, publish when ready, and take it down whenever you need to

04 — How it works

Ready before your next check-in.

Step one

Add the hotel

Name, address, Wi-Fi, check-in and check-out times, and a photo.

Step two

Write the directory

Add a section for each thing guests ask the desk about, then the places you recommend nearby.

Step three

Publish and print

Publishing turns on the link. Print the QR card and put one in every room.

05 — Questions

What hotels ask first.

Do guests need an app or an account?

No. The guide opens in the browser on their phone, and they never sign in.

Can each room have its own guide?

Not inside one guide. You can duplicate a guide and give a room or suite its own copy, but each copy counts as a property on your plan and is edited separately.

Does it integrate with our PMS?

No. GuestFoyer stands on its own. Nothing connects to your reservations, and we receive no guest booking data.

Can we use our logo and colors?

Not today. Every guide uses GuestFoyer's design.

Can guests request towels or room service through it?

Not through the guide itself. Tell guests how to reach the desk, such as the extension and its hours, and requests go to your staff as usual.

Can several staff members sign in?

Not today. Each workspace has one owner login.

What happens when something changes?

Edit the guide and guests see the new version. The link and the printed QR card stay the same, so you only reprint the card if the Wi-Fi details printed on it change.

Can I write the guide in another language?

You can write your sections in any language. GuestFoyer doesn't translate guides, and the guide's built-in labels are in English.

Is the guide public?

Anyone with the link or the QR card can open it, but it isn't listed in search engines, and unpublishing takes it down immediately.

06 — Request access

Let's get your directory written.

Tell us about your property and we'll send an invitation.
