Getting started

GuestFoyer turns the address of your rental into a polished, mobile-first welcome book your guests can open the moment they arrive. This guide walks through your first ten minutes.

1. Create your account

Go to Begin and enter your email. We send a one-time magic link — no password to remember. (You can add one later from Settings → Security if you prefer to sign in with a password.)

2. Start your first property

After signing in you land on the Properties dashboard. If it's empty, click Create your first property. You'll be dropped into the onboarding wizard.

3. Walk through the four-step wizard

  1. Welcome — give the property a name, address, and check-in / check-out times.
  2. Essentials — Wi-Fi credentials, a welcome message, and house rules. Use the Draft for me buttons to have AI write a first pass that you can edit.
  3. Local guide — the AI researches what's actually around your address and pre-picks a starter list of restaurants, coffee, attractions, shopping, and emergencies. Untick anything that doesn't fit, hit Suggest more on a category to dig deeper, or use Add your own for the favorites it didn't find.
  4. Brand & publish — pick a theme, upload a hero photo, then publish.
Skip & return later Every step has a "Save & exit" link. Your progress is preserved, and you can resume from the badge on the property card on the dashboard.

4. Share your guide

Once published, your guide lives at guestfoyer.com/g/your-property-slug. Open the property in your dashboard and look for the QR code panel — download the print-ready PNG and put it on the fridge, in the welcome card, or beside the smart-lock.
