Troubleshooting
Most issues fall into a handful of categories. Try these first — if you're still stuck, email support@guestfoyer.com with the URL of the page you're on and a quick description.
I can't sign in / didn't get the magic link
- Check your spam or promotions folder. The sender will be
auth@guestfoyer.com. - Magic links expire after 15 minutes. If yours timed out, request a new one.
- If you've set a password, use it as a fallback.
- Still nothing? The most likely cause is a corporate email server silently dropping the message — try a personal email or contact us.
My guest page shows a 404
- The property is in Draft. Open the property and toggle Publish.
- The slug was changed. Old URLs stop working immediately — share the new URL or reprint your QR.
- You're testing with a typo in the slug. Slugs are lower-case, hyphens not spaces.
The AI directory came back empty or weird
- Most often the address is missing or imprecise. Open the property and confirm the full street address is set.
- For very rural addresses the model has less to work with — use + Add your own for the spots you know.
- Click Try again — model output varies between runs.
"Suggest more" returns nothing
The model has likely exhausted what it knows for that category nearby. This is genuine — try a different category, or add picks manually.
Wi-Fi password isn't copying on the guest page
- iOS Safari blocks copy from non-HTTPS pages. We serve over HTTPS, so this should always work — if it doesn't, refresh the page.
- The icon turns into a checkmark for ~2 seconds on success. If it doesn't, the browser blocked it; long-press the password instead.
My SMBcrm connection broke
- Re-authenticate from Settings → Integrations. SMBcrm tokens expire periodically; a quick reconnect restores the sync.
- If reconnect fails, disconnect first, then reconnect — the cleaner reset usually clears the issue.
I can't upload a hero photo
- Files must be under 10 MB and a common image format (JPG, PNG, WebP).
- HEIC images from iPhones aren't supported — share via the iPhone's "share as JPG" or take the photo directly from a desktop.
Billing or invoice questions
Use the Stripe billing portal from Settings → Billing. For refunds, plan confusion, or anything that needs a human, email support@guestfoyer.com.
