The onboarding wizard

The wizard exists so you never face an empty page. Each step has a sensible default and a "Save & exit" link in the header — leave any time and resume from the badge on the property card.

Step 1 — Welcome

Capture the basics: a friendly name guests will see, the street address (this powers the AI directory in step 3), and check-in / check-out times. Names are private to you; only the slug appears in URLs.

Step 2 — Essentials

The minimum your guests will reach for in their first hour:

Wi-Fi SSID & password — shown with one-tap copy on the guest page.
Welcome message — a warm hello and a quick orientation.
House rules — the boundaries you'd rather not have to repeat.

Each text area has a Draft for me button. The AI writes a first pass tailored to the property — you stay in full control of the final copy.

Step 3 — Local guide

This is the showcase step. We send the address to the AI and ask it to research what's actually around your property. You'll get a categorised list (food, coffee, attractions, shopping, groceries, emergency). Every item is selected by default.

Untick anything that doesn't fit.
Hit + Suggest more on a category to expand it.
Use the + Add your own panel for favorites the AI missed.
Use the ✕ on any item to remove it from your list entirely.

Why isn't this just a search? A search returns "20 nearest pizza places". The AI returns the spots locals actually recommend, grouped by what a guest needs in the moment.

Step 4 — Brand & publish

Choose between four editorial themes (Journal, Midnight, Coast, Nexus), upload a hero photo, and hit Publish now — or Finish later to keep the page in draft.

Resuming an unfinished setup

Properties that aren't fully set up display a Resume setup badge on the Properties dashboard. Clicking it sends you back to the exact step you left.
